I have an account in bank hapoalima- I am Canadian citizen living in Israel for years. about 4-5 months ago the bank asked me to sign a letter that I agree them to transfer to Canada all my information- which I did not not understand why need to sign- since I don't live in Canada- but I did sign it and later send them all proofs to show that I do live in Israel in order for them to change my status in the bank- as an Israeli resident. on oct 19- with no prior notice- the night before my departure for a business trip to china- the- I suddenly see that my account is blocked. I kept on calling from china begging to open the account for a few days- since I don't have a penny to finish my business deals..i agreed to sign anything but all was to deaf ears. my husband and me we tried doing anything - I had no money to pay for my hotel..but the bank was not interested in my complaining. until at one point when I returned I went to the bank sat there for 6 hours and still nothing doing..the account is blocked for over two weeks and nobody knows what to do. can I sue them for blocking without any notice and for all the losses it caused me in china
hi chavi, prior to suing the bank you should check with them what was the risen your account was blocked the question is if bank had a legitimate risen for blocking your account
